Girasoli Room: a romantic room in the Modena countryside
The Girasoli Room is probably the most romantic room at Le Noci di Feo. It is located on the second floor of our country house, in the old attic, and is a space particularly connected to the history of our family and the traditions of the Modena area.
In the past, this room and the other room created in the attic were the ideal place to keep the sets of small barrels used for ageing Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena. Here, Feo kept the balsamic vinegar he produced for the family, together with other products from the farm, such as milk and wine.
The attic, warm during the summer and cold in winter, naturally provided the right conditions for the long and slow ageing process of balsamic vinegar. Today, the barrels have been moved to another building on the property, while these spaces have become welcoming guest rooms, without losing their connection to their history.
An intimate room surrounded by oak trees and greenery
Girasoli retains all the charm of a country room in Modena: the exposed wooden beams, the old wrought-iron double bed and the antique solid walnut furniture in Empire style create a warm, intimate and romantic atmosphere.
For a period of time, this was also Paolo and Tiziana’s bedroom, adding another small chapter to the family history of the house.
Outside, the large oak trees shelter and frame the room. From its three windows, the view opens onto the garden of Le Noci di Feo and the green countryside surrounding the property, offering a pleasant feeling of tranquillity and privacy.
The Girasoli Room also has a large private bathroom for the exclusive use of its guests, with a comfortable shower, and is equipped with bed linen and towels, complimentary toiletries, television, summer air conditioning, a dual heating system, hairdryer and free Wi-Fi.
Staying in the Girasoli Room therefore means not only sleeping in one of the most romantic rooms at Le Noci di Feo, but also experiencing a small part of our family history and the tradition of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena.
